In Madhya Pradesh on August 15, 86, the Directorate of Women and Child Development was constituted and all the schemes related to women and children were transferred from the Department of Tribal Welfare and Panchayat and Social Welfare Department to this Directorate. Initially this Directorate was under the administrative control of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department and in 1988, the Department of Women and Child Development was formed separately. The women and children development department of the beneficiary society has weak sections, women and children, whose development and welfare work is not easy and short term completion. While many schemes have been expanded, new schemes like Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Atal Baal Mission, Integrated Child Protection Scheme are also being operated. While moving, the department has accepted every challenge for development. The data of achievement is not large, but the situation of women in the society has improved continuously, women have been aware of their rights and interests, there has been a decline in child malnutrition.
